Dr. Terri LevinsteinOne of the 2 hospital directors and a 1987 graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, she has been with the practice since January, 1995. Her special interests are in orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, avian medicine, and wildlife rehabilitation. Dr. Levinstein's family consists of her husband, 3 children, 1 dog, 6 cats, and 2 birds. |

Dr. Allison Moser MayoAlso a hospital director and a 1989 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Mayo has been with the practice since Jan. 1995. Her special interests are in medicine and cardiology. She also treats small exotic pets and ferrets. Dr. Mayo is married with 3 sons, a daughter, 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 6 birds. |

Dr. Heather HurstDr. Heather Hurst earned a B.S. in agriculture and animal technology at Murray State university in Kentucky in 1998 and her DVM with honors from Auburn University in Alabama in 2002. She has been with the practice since June of 2003. Dr. Hurst's special interests include internal medicine and surgery, and she has 5 cats, 1 dog, and 1 bird. |
Dr. Katz joined the staff in June 1996. A 1994 graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, she brings with her an interest in both medicine and surgery. Dr. Katz is married and has a son, 2 cats, and a dog.

Michele Krause, Head LVTMichele Krause graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 1987, receiving her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology. Michelle has been with the practice since October, 1998. Michele has a beautiful little girl named Kelsey, 2 cats, a dog, and a horse. |

Shonna Banholzer, LVTShonna Banholzer was born in Woodbridge, VA and has lived here most of her life. Growing up she knew that she wanted to be in the Veterinary field, animals have always been her passion. She began working at Dale City Animal Hospital (DCAH) in 1999 at the age of 16 as a Kennel Assistant. After three years she wanted more of a challenge and was promoted to Veterinary Assistant. As the years went on she decided that the veterinary field was her home and and she wanted to pursue a career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. At the age of 20, Shonna said goodbye to her friends at DCAH and moved to Pittsburgh, PA to enroll herself in the Technician program at the Median School of Allied Health Careers. She earned her Associates Degree in Specialized Technology in 2004. As soon as she graduated she moved back to Woodbridge and rejoined her friends at DCAH and Gunston Animal Hospital(GAH).
